Hi all,

Hoping for a bit of advice, just moved into our first house, needs a bit of work (sockets/heating/decorating)

We are considering moving the doorway i the lounge over to the right so it opens onto the staircase rather than into the middle of the room.

Is this wall likely to be load bearing? Is it a large / expensive job to complete? Do we need building regs? Attached photo/floor plan

what floor are you on. What is that wall constructed of? How thick is it? Is it hollow. What way do the joists run? What is above you?
