The controls for my elderly father's heating system are in a cupboard above/behind the sink in the bathroom. When he wants to change the timer, or use the 1 hour over-ride switch, he has to climb up to reach into the cupboard.
My sister has suggested a proper small solid-footed step ladder as a christmas present, but I feel at 95 he should not be climbing at all!
I'd prefer to see the cntrols moved, so
* is this a job for a GasSafe engineer, a plumber or an electrician?
* are there Building regs that would prohibit moving it out of the cupboard onto a convenient adjacent wall in the bathroom? Or would it have to be moved right out of the bathroom?
* what ballpark cost in the Home Counties?
