Hi,

The hot and cold pipes coming out of our combi boiler stick out of the dining room wall a long way before going through the ceiling to feed bathroom upstairs.

Is there any reason why I can't turn the water off at the stopcock, cut these pipes and bury them further into the plaster before reconnecting them? This wouldn't affect the combi boiler in any way, would it?

Many thanks,
Steve.

No reason why you can't do this.

Try not to bury joints in the wall though, if you get a leak you will have a nightmare.
You could re-route the pipes to a less conspicious run and box in. :D

When you say a long way, the thickness of a joist? or further. There may be an obstacle you have to negotiate. If so cover with MT4 Trunking.
