Hallo to the forum, and Happy New Year to all.

There is a distinct possibility that I will be moving, long-term, into a Mobile Home later this year. I will probably be involved in, though not responsible for, its purchase and siting.

This will be a completely new experience for me. Can I prevail on some knowledgable person to brief me on the practicalities?

In particular:
What to look for when buying second-hand;
How they are constructed;
Guidelines on siting and preparation;
Provision of water/power/sat. TV/heating + insulation;
The potential for internal customisation;
Any general advice.

I'm no DIYer, with little practical experience or technical knowledge, but I'm willing to learn :)

Happy New Year.
If you are thinking of a Park home that you live in permanantly on a site then I'm your man. We bought one in September 2006 and knocked it about quite a lot.
It is a bit more complicated than just a few short answers.
If you email me (from my profile) I will 'talk you through it'!

Ours is the second one along.
