Hi all, Think i may live to regret this decision but hope not!
Like most people I have my kitchen sink currently located under my window. I wish to install a new kitchen and make base use of the space and increase the light into a north facing room. I want to locate my new kitchen along the length of the wall that is to the right of my window. The sink will end up about 2.5ms along this wall with a dishwasher closer to the wall end where the outside is. There will also be a quooker tap. I would like to install an ikea kitchen but aware that there is no service void. Have thought about bringing the units forward and can get a wider worktop but cannot get wider end panels of which I will need 2....
At the moment my concern is plumbing. Picture attached is what is there when I have removed the sink. There is now a French door going in there so I will need to move the plumbing about 4 foot to the right hand side? Any ideas of an approximate cost for this? Currently there is an outside tap and I would like to retain this in the new set up. Will need steps outside this door. Immediately in front of the wall where pipe work will be outside is a manhole cover...... Not sure what for as I cannot get it open.
Other concern is running the waste required from the sink to the outside..... solid concrete floor and do not have the drop I believe under the cupboards to the wall that would be required? So chase into the floor? Concerned then re the exit and damp proof course?
Any thoughts/ideas/rough costs appreciated.
