Moving Meter

Any of you Gurus know the current rate that DNO's charge to move a meter?

we had a quote for £350 last year from EDF (subject of course to the usual certifications) for a meter move of approx 1.5m..

What certifications would I need?

They wanted the appropriate certification issued by an electrician from any of the recognised organisations that the installation/test results were 'up to date'..the price was also exclusive of any alterations needed to the consumer unit, including the cost of longer tails!!

i was quoted £650 last week by EDF to move 4 metres!!, even though I have dug the hole, the main cable into the house runs straight past where the new meter is and the new meter box is already fitted to the wall. Bit of a rip off I think
