MR Boards should be either tiled on or joint finished, they are not designed for the application of a plaster finish.
But if it had to be done, I would defo prime it either PVA, bond-it or wba.

thats a touch then aint it haha. i think you can use pva but its best to apply it neat, but as i said wba or bondit is the best thing
 
i work for a bathroom fitter and he had to buy me some the other week as the pva hr supplied jst wassnt up to the job, he ended up buying the proper thistle stuff and paying 50 quid, usually he lets me have what ever plastering mats are left if i want it.
i wanted it but he insisted he had that back..............git :evil: haha :LOL:
 
id of tiped the pva away cleaned it and filled it up with it m8 ha ha ha
 
arhhhh diddnt think of that haha mabey next week im working for him and id imagin itll still b on his van as he doesnt even do bonding or anything just gets me to do it all
