I have a ceiling to skim and just wanted to check my plan was ok. I can plaster walls ok but this is my first ceiling not that big though.

The ceiling had artex on but this has been removed to reveal the plaster but its too damaged to paint hence the need to skim.

Im planning to apply wba the day before because I think if i used pva it might dry out before i get a coat of skim on the whole ceiling. Is this ok?

I will then skim in the normal 2 coat way with multi finish once the wba is dry.

Do I need to fill all the areas where the scraper has dug in or will the plaster be ok to fill these.

yes using wba is ok, you can apply wba between 2-4 hours before you skim there is no need to do it the day before as like with bond it, also you shouldent need to go over the scraper marks first just skim as normal
