Hi all,

I have just been offered a stove with a back boiler and am thinking of using it in the conservatory. However I am not interested in connecting it up to rads etc. Can a stove with a back boiler be operated "dry" without running water through it?

Ta in advance.

Yes, but leave boiler connections open. You can also fill up the empty boiler with sand, and it will insulate the back of the stove, acting like a firebrick.
