OP - You can use thermal stores such as Gledhill Torrent to bring together different heat sources. The most important thing to check before buying any wood burning appliance is that you don't live in a smoke free zone (clean air act 1956) If you do you can only burn smokeless solid fuel or use an exempt wood burning appliance such as Dunsley Yorkshire Stove. Finding a wet back version might be difficult as even wood pellets are not classed as smokeless though word is that could change.
