Are people not buying tezla because of the deputy President or because chineese EV's are going to be cheaper?

A bit of both. Four years ago I'd have happily recommended Tesla because they were the almost only serious game in town for EVs.

Now there is some actual choice in the market they're having to compete and they're aiming for the BMW market, not the VW market. Musk thinks he can get mass market sales volumes at premium price rates, that's feels unlikely given the choices he keeps making.

It's all a punt on Autonomous Vehicles, without a massive lead in that space Tesla is overpriced on its fundamentals.

I wonder if Musk is going to start going after the NTSB soon or if he'll wait a while.
