mx5 - after a flat battery

Hello.

After managing to leave a door slightly open, my battery went completely flat. My radio has a security code, which I duly entered.

.. and it came up with Err which according to the book means my radio is now inoperable!

Surely this can't be true ........

Is anyone able to give me some hope?

I would have thought that err was an abreviation for error, try putting the code in again or disconnecting the battery & leaving for a few minutes before re-trying
