Hi,
The wipers on my MX5 seem ok on the first speed setting, then if I switch them to faster, they slow down and eventually stop.

I've held the motors and gnd, but no sign of any problems.

I've ordered some contact cleaner, in case it's the connectors?

Camerart.

I guess the motor is overheating, due to stiffness / lack of lubrication in the mechanism - especially where the spindles poke through the bonnet.
Can you undo the mechanism from the motor and try again? I’d think the motor would keep running.
John :)

Hi J,
I disconnected and removed the blades, which I repainted, and oiled all of the connections and the motor slowly improved.

I'm embarrassed to say how many times I needed to get all of the splines correct. Like watching a chimp:)

Thanks, C.
