My boiler is leaking.

I opened it up and looks like the black bit is leaking, someone is coming next week but wondered if anyone knows if this is a common thing and easy fix or a big job?

Yes, it can be common. Not a huge fix by the looks of it. Need to ensure the cover foam hasn’t perished though, as it forms part of the combustion circuit, a reason for not removing the cover.
