Just moved into new flat with Ideal Logic 30 combi boiler. Got it going on Winter mode - both ch and dhw but then rads go cold after a while and get display msg " timer or room stat off". Got no timer or room thermostat just stats on each rad which are all on.
Any ideas ?

Can't find a room stat anywhere! Each rad has a stat and the agent never told us there was a room stat anywhere.
do we need a room stat? Or a timer - we don't seem to have the latter to control the on/off times.

So how do you turn it on? No timer, not even an integral one? Is your hot water still working when your rads go off? Sounds like it's on frost protection to me. It's telling you it's got no device asking it to provide heating.

Thanks for that - it came on and we set it to Winter mode - both CH and DHW were on - then the display came on with the message timer or room stat off. will try again 2moro - will contact agent too.
thanks again.

IF it's been put in properly it would have had to have a roomstat put in to comply with Building Regulations

+1 if it was installed to current regs it must have a boiler interlock somewhere (thermostat) look for a radiator that does not have a thermostatic valve on it and interlock should be in the same room space normally the hall way
