My loft is like a sauna!

Hi,

I moved into my 12 year old detached house about six months ago and have today been in the loft and was surprised about how hot it was - very!

Is this normal? My old terraced house loft never got this warm.

Is this ok?

absolutely normal and damp and freezing in the winter

if your old loft was colder there must have been more air flow [no felt perhaps] and or less exposure to direct sun

My old terraced house didn't have felt so that could exlain why it was cooled (and blew a gale in winter!)

Terraced to detached .....must be a boom where you are check that the eaves vents are`nt covered with insulation ..........has been known
