Can anyone answer a question for me please.

My central heating system is old and last year I did not renew my British Gas cover because I felt they would never get the parts.

The pilot light would not stay on at first and now it won't light at all.

Does anyone know whether this is a quick job or does it mean a new central heating system.

I am reluctant to buy a new system because I currently have a back boiler and repositioning the boiler will inevitably involve decorating etc.

Thank you for any advice.

if you have a back boiler you will probably still get spares for it ,if not then you can exchange a back boiler for another back boiler under the new regs, good luck.call a corgi engineer.

HI

1.thermocouple fault
2.pilot injector blocked/weak
3.spark ignition not working
4.gas valve fault (very unlikely)

all these for RGI and should not cost you more than £200 (estimate)
