vulcan not firing up (pilot light is on and ok)

Hi my vulcan boiler pilot light comes on and stays on and it sounds like its pumping everything ok, but it seems to stay on the pilot light (the gas just doesn't kick in as it should. so we currently have no central heating at all
Can anyone help?
