Myson apollo boiler

Hi,

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I have a myson apollo boiler (unsure of model but has been in house since it was built approx. 14 yrs ago - house is a end link 3 bed & not overly big).

Boiler only fires up if I select CH & HW together. If I select CH only nothing happens. If I then emprty the hot water tank & select HW as well as CH the boiler works.

Anyone have any ideas or advice.

CH zone valve head needs replacing, or 3 way head if thats what you got.

You may be able to replace the synchron motor if the motorised valve is a silver box in your airing cupboard.

Out of interest is it expensive as strapped for cash at the moment like most people!!!

Head only approx £90-£100 + VAT, whole thing approx £150 + VAT

You may be able to bypass the vlv until you have a new one.
