Hotpoint dishwasher has developed a fault whereby after starting a programme it successfully pumps out the old water has a think (or a heat?) then after a minute there is a nasty juddery noise from the pump as though it cant get started. Had the pump off and its not blocked or anything. No error lights on. Could be a problem with the electrical drive signal to the pump but this is beyond my skill level. Any ideas gratefully received.

Aha, it must have been the drain pump I took off, didnt realise there was more than one pump. thanks for advice
