I was thinking of easing the new rad slightly and running pipes below that and then come up. Advisable? Not sure what you mean by "come up", looks like the new pipe can be at the same level as the TRV, needing 2 elbows, but apart that, sounds fine.

Do you mean raising it? I don't see why not but can't see any advantage, and more work.I was thinking of easing the new rad slightly and running pipes below that and then come up. Advisable?
Sorry for the typo! Yes, I was suggesting that I raise the new rad and have the pipes running below it.Do you mean raising it? I don't see why not but can't see any advantage, and more work.
The white pipe already runs under or behind the rad, so I don't see a reason to change that, apart from the exposed part, which would be neater parallel to the floor. If you clip the other pipe to the wall you'll have to step away into the TRV. The pipe will be above the white one, so just 2 elbows needed.Sorry for the typo! Yes, I was suggesting that I raise the new rad and have the pipes running below it.
As per your suggestion, I can run the horizontal pipe level with the rad valves and then 2-elbows into the first valve. I guess the other sides pipe would run just under the rad and then 3-elbow into the furthest rad valve. Have I got this right?
Two elbows to bring the pipe down to below the TRV pipe. You can angle them to give the right distance from the skirting, detemined by the pipe clips. You can see that the current white pipe is coming out at an angle and I think that's because of the skirting board sitting proud of the level the pipe sits in within the vertical boxing.
I'd extend that pipe down in the trunking and then bring out with the other pipe then along and up into the rad valve. Clip the 2 pipe together and then paint them to blend into the wood. Or out slightly higher just above the skirting and paint them white to match the wall.
Another thought on this - can't you remove the bit of skirting within the vertical box, so the lower pipe is at the correct level? You could also box in most of the horizontal pipes, for a neater appearance.View attachment 382266
I think you are suggesting that both pipes come out around here?
You can see that the current white pipe is coming out at an angle and I think that's because of the skirting board sitting proud of the level the pipe sits in within the vertical boxing. How will I be able to have these pipes running horizontally and above then skirting board given the angle that this comes out in. Not sure if I've explained that too well!
Thanks again.

Nice and neat, well done. What the meat cleaver for? Is it your pipeslice?UPDATE - wanted to share how I got on earlier today. System pressurised again and nothing has burst yet!
There’s probably many things I’ve misunderstood and done badly. I would welcome your feedback as I’d like to learn for next time.
Thanks again guys. Really appreciated your advice with this
Looks an excellent job. Raising the rad and clipping the pipes to the wall instead of the skirting board was a good move.UPDATE - wanted to share how I got on earlier today
Oh, that was my heat shield to protect the wall!Nice and neat, well done. What the meat cleaver for? Is it your pipeslice?![]()
