I have some exposed central heating pipes and wish to build some kind of wall so they are not visible. What material would you normally use for that? Do I need a builder, carpenter or plasterer?
Two lengths of 3x2, a sheet of plasterboard, rawl plugs and screws should suffice. If you're not going to DIY I'd say to hand the job to a plasterer; the studding and boarding doesn't need a carpenter (a plasterer shouldn't have any problem doing it) but the end result of the boarding does need a plasterer, which isn't a carpenter's skill set
Thanks for the suggestions. So it seems that either a carpenter or a carpenter + plasterer is what I need. Any idea what they might charge for that sort of thing?
