Hi
i need about 2 m2 of parquet blocks to fill in concrete hearths.
a number of contractors have been out and identified the floor as pitch pine.
I phoned a reclaimation yard who said that due to the dimensions of the blocks, it must be douglas fir. I sent him a photo and he insisted it was douglas fir.
the blocks measure 8 & 7/8 x 2 &7/8 inches and are about 20mm thick
would you say its pitch pine or douglas fir from these pics?
