I'm doing a job for a customer and I tiled whole bathroom which is about 14square metres. I used grout as a tile adhesive as I was told this will make it all waterproof. I had to celotape the tiles together to hold them on because they didnt stay on very well. Now my tiles look wonky. Any advice?
I also wanted to redo the floor because it was bumpy, I broke it all up down to the plastic membrane and have covered the floor in crush and run, I'm renting the whacker plate tomorrow to whack it down. Do I put a layer of sand ontop of the crush and run when I have whacked it?
There was a small gas heater that I have removed, I cut the pipe and quickly bunged blue-tac in the end of it and squashed it with a hammer and then put some celotape on the end of it just to make sure there were no leaks. A friend says it should be properly capped but I've always used this method. What do you guys think? Do many of you use the bluetac method?
One more thing sorry for lots of questions, when I was removing the toilet the cast iron bit was poking out the floor, I tried to smash it so it was level with the floor but it cracked down the drain and when I look inside I can see a crack. I wiped no nails adhesive in the crack and I don't think it will leak but just was to make sure??
Your help will be appreciated as customer wants it done asap thanks.
