Hi Guys

Im a bit clueless here and If I have posted in the wrong forum

We have had all of our wooden floors pulled up and concrete was laid , a screed has been put on the concrete , the idea is that it will be tiled .. this is a company house BTW.

Whats bugging me tho is the screed , is it normal to be sweeping bucket loads of loose " cement dust/debris " several times daily ???? I have no idea what proportions of what was used to mix the screed , but the dust is driving me insane.

Is it possible for something to be used on the screed ??? its been down a week ..... another three weeks of this mess and Ill be in the funny farm .

Thanks a million :) , and that will do the trick ???

By the time tiles are laid at this rate I will have swept the screed away

I spoke to some nitwit at a hardware shop who informed me that the entire screed will have to be moved ....

why on earth wood you take up floorboards and put concrete down? Im puzzled. Anyway, watered down PVA will seal floor, but sounds like a poor mix. If the mix is poor then yes it should be removed and relaid.
