Need idea for damp proofing.

Hi all.
Gonna replace the patio slabs and cement again the circled area. Was wondering what i can put between cement and wall to stop damp going through (as a precaution). Like DAMPLAS damp proof course ? Will then cement stay/stick to it or just gonna stay there loose ?

I could, but id like that part of the wall bottom have smth applied to keep moisture away.
