picked up a new IIYAMA flat screen lcd monitor model A54134UT (12V 3.5A 45w) but no mains lead . any ideas where i can get one and what will it cost?

Assuming its DC 12v 3.5A this will do by the looks of it

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=48517&criteria=12v power supply&doy=5m7

remember to set it to 12V, thats the important bit.
the current is dependable on what the monitor requires, the one in the link can do 4-5A, so it should be perfect and you wont need to set the current in any way.

take a look at the back of your monitor and check that the plug looks like one of the ones in the picture of that power supply.
