Looling for new mortice lock and latchy thing for a wooden front door (not oak, typical wooden door you get on a 1930s house), 45mm thick, and wooden frame.

Banham seems to have quite a reputation for security, but of course is very expensive.

My plan was to have one new latch thing near the middle, a lock below it, and a thumb turn above it, something like that.

Are Banham really that much better than chubb or anything else?

And anyway, with wooden door/frame not being the most modern or secure of doors, is it really worth spending alot of X on something thats relatively insecure (compared to todays doors)?

Thanks v much. B.
