Britool and Elora both made excellent tools, I have some from the 50s/60s but you don't often see them, I think for modern cheap tools Silverline take some beating.

Im bumping this back up, but I have a set ot Elora whitworths for the steam engine, cracking gear.

That set of Elora sockets and attachments cost me £15 - in Brighton . I remember the £ cuz I got a dragon and an eagle tatt @ a similar time in the same town - for £1.50 each
