Need to fill gap in bitumen floor where I've removed stud wall...

I have taken out part of a stud wall and there is now a gap in the bitumen approximately 75mm wide 15mm deep. The gap is between the dining room and kitchen and carpet will meet tiles so there will be a joining strip. If I just pour a cement mix in I can see it breaking up when they fasten the strip down.

What else could I use/do?
