Hello all,
I attempted to remove the TESA privacy door knob today. removed the cover plate, but couldn't make any progress, i just applied sheer force using my screw drive, yes, i think, i am stupid in doing so.

The links in the web and you tube, seems not to be applicable for this, as i donot find any external slot /grooves to pop up things or turn screws etc

I am thinking of using a hacksaw to cut the lock. am I thinking right?

What else i can do?

Do i need to call a locksmith for this job? or which tradesman should i be looking to call, if i decide to seek professional help.

Thanks

I managed to do it myself.

The is a small dull coloured spot on the inside of the knob. This got camouflaged, so i miessed in the fist shot.

but pressing that released the knob.

Hope this helps some one.

cheers
