Neff B1421 electric oven

I am about to replace a thermostat which I think has been the cause of power supply tripping in the house.
This diagnosis was made by someone more experienced than myself so I hope it will solve the problem.
If the problem persists, can someone tell me of any other possible likely causes.

I would have thought the element would be more likely to be the problem, how was the diagnosis made?
