Neff Fridge Freezer not cooling - diagnosis help needed

Hi,

We have an integrated Neff Fridge Feezer which is 18 years old. It stopped cooling yesterday.

The power is getting to it OK (interior light on). Every few minutes a humming noise starts and then this stops after 5 seconds or so. It apears that something is trying to start but cuts out before it does.

I turned the power off last night and left it overnight. Switched on this morning and same problem.

Can anyone advise what the problem may be?

To be frank after 18 years its worn out, lost its charge or the motors knacked. Bite the bullet and buy a new one

After much speculation and research, I decided to get an ice maker for my home. Learning how to use it was a cakewalk. It has made life so much easier for us. The hassle involved in making ice is history now.[/url]

even i feel that you should buy a new one. In case you don't want to then call a professional who will assist you or repair your fridge freezer.
