Hi guys
I went to replace my neff oven heating element and behind the fan cover there are rust holes along the top and bottom edge of the indentation (cover fits flush over)
I filled these holes with a flexible fire cement type product yesterday.
There was a gap between the metal cavity and the insulation, I have now obviously sealed most of the gap when filling the rust holes.
I've now realised the gap was probably for the cooling fan to circulate cooling air, would that be right?
Do you think I'll still have enough cool air circulating to keep the housing/wiring/control panel cool enough?
I've basically almost filled the top and bottom length of where the fan cover plate goes over.
There will still be gaps between the insulation & metal cavity up each side and below/above the fillers.
Any thoughts?
