Hi Guys

I have recently installed a pump on a gravity hot water fed system, the pump is fitted at the base of the hot water tank and the shower is on the same floor level with the valve being the same height as the top of the hot water tank. The problem is that the shower heads are about 1 meter above the the top of the hot water tank thefore 2 meters above the pump and so the pump sometimes does not kick in when the shower valve is opened. Please advise what's my best/cheapest option is to sort this out.

Thanks for any help
Ray

What the vertical distance between the base of the cold water storage tank & the shower head? Do you have up & over pipe work, if so what’s the distance between the top of the loops & the base of the CWS tank?

What pump have you actually installed, negative or positive head?

Is it just on the HW system or cold as well?
