New gutter my side, they managed to bodge it up & at the same time damage my neighbours, causing it to leak on his join approx a metre from where our two meet.
Arranged for a Roofer who was carrying out work for me to fix the leak. This he did and it has been ok for the last 2.5 months.
Rain, wind, snow etc..... Neighbour has now approached & said it's leaking again.
Should I be expected to get it repaired again? The roofer who fixed it nor the ones who initially caused the leak are realiable.
The gutter is approx 30+ years old. The seals surely would have failed by now.

Your neighbour could argue there was no problem with their guttering until your workmen got involved .

If the gutters are past their serviceable life you can't be expected to foot the bill every time they spring a leak, if on the other hand your guys have stressed the gutters on his side and caused problems which otherwise would not have arisen I think for neighbourly relations I would get the leak repaired....your call really.

As above, you instructed your guys who caused the neighbours to leak . Regardless of how old it was , it was not yours to interfere with.
The decent thing to do is fix it
