Morning, Peeps
Did have some minor damp/mould issues in our bathroom last few years after it was remodelled and with the kids shutting the window before turning it into a sauna put it down to a bad design or something..... it was nowt serious just annoying
We also had an overflowing gutter with a couple of dodgy joins. I found someone to sort it and they stopped the major leak from a join which was above our conservatory and removed a join which was by our bathroom and the damp issue seems to have been resolved noweven though we are still getting some leakage
However, whilst they were doing this gutter maintenance they raised a query and something I'd never considered....
Our Neighbour had a loft conversion with rear dormer (we are mid terrace) a few years back and the fall of the gutter in their direction is not as good as it could be. He thought where they had their gutter fitted post conversion it was possibly higher than originally and would of inhibited flow to a degree leading to the overflowing maybe
BUT
what he did query was the run off from their dormers flat roof as it is projected straight over our roof - see image attached
All other neighbours with same conversion have two downpipes coming down the front each side of the dormer into the gutter whereas this, when it rains hard, chucks water across ours and we do still getting some overflow leakage from the gutter.
Is this okay to have the spill coming over our roof like this or does it come under some sort of nuisance law?
Cheers muchly
