We have replaced an old exteactor which had a timer but was not connected to a live feed so it just switched off when the light was switched off. We can't put in a live feed without having to remove some tiles so we just replaced with another fan with a timer (I liked the design...don't ask). The fan worked fine when the light was switched on. Then it stopped after a while and the light was still on. We tried switching light on and off but no joy - lights on but no fan. Hubby then disconnected the wiring and then re did the wires. Same thing happened lights on and fan ran - then stopped and wont come on again. Before I upset hubby by suggesting maybe he's wired it to the timer terminal, is this the likely cause? It doesn't seem logical but its the only thing I can think of!!! Model is http://www.hib.co.uk/ecommerce/ventilation/wall-mounted-fans/31300.aspx
