I have been quoted £4700 (inc VAT) to disconnect a Rayburn (clapped out) and replace with a Worcester Combi boiler 37cdi Greenstar upstairs where the tank is currently. Seems a lot to me but do people think this is a reasonable price?

It's really difficult to give an idea of costs without seeing the job.
Get three engineers to quote for the work. If the quotes are all in the same league, then you will be more certain that's what the job costs.
