New boiler flue

I had a new boiler flue fitted Saturda. It was definitely rushed. When the engineer had finished to my dissatisfaction he left without filling in the huge holes. 3 of them. Ive since had them done and paid for it to be done. Am I right in thinking the engineer should have done this as part of his job? Or no?

Yes, your engineer should have filled them in, if they were from the previous flue.

Thank you. I think I’ve been duped and I didn’t have carbon monoxide from my flue. He showed me readings but I didnt have my glasses on. it read 2.89 them 3.2. He said it’s going up and up

TB 152 gives guidance. If your flue isn't sealed it's classified as At Risk and should be switched off...
