Hello,

I have just replaced my old dishwasher with a new Bosch SMS53M08GB. I don't think the missus has used it yet but think I got the pipes the right way round and attached properly. Whats the worst that can happen.. :)

I noticed the old unit had a pressure limiter built-in on the water inlet pipe (as I tried to remove it and it seemed fairly robust) whereas my new Bosch does not, it just what looks like a fairly bog standard pipe to me. (The black one in this link)

Spoke to Bosch and was informed "it doesn't have one, some do but not this one"..

So with 10bar being the stated pressure limit, should I get a third party limiter (Bosch lady couldn't recommend a Bosch specific one)? and if so any recommendations please?

Thanks

The block on your old machine serves the purpose of cutting off water to your machine in the event of a leak, the new machine doesn't have that feature.

I understand that. I am suprised it doesnt as the Bosch lady said "some of the units do" and it seems like a sensible thing to include. And Bosch not offer a limiter as an extra.

Should i get one for the unit and if so can someone recomend one please?
