New build house - Can’t reattach loft hatch

Hi all, moved into a new build on Friday and today I decided to poke my head into the loft space to see how big it is. Problem now is that I cannot re-attach the loft hatch! There are locking mechanisms on one side which is fine but on the other side there appears to be no way to attach it in place. It was attached before I opened it so can obviously be done but I can’t for the life of me work out how to do it. If I lock one side in place the other just falls down. Looks like something should slide into the hatch to hold it in place but there is nothing there. Anyone got any ideas?
