New Central Heating

A guy I work with is going to be installing a central heating system himself (DIYer) although he will be getting a professional in to do the final connections (ie, gas).

He will be using plastic rather than copper pipes.....

What (if any) are the pro's and cons....

One pro is it's quick to install, one con is it does have problems like all plastics do. Also go to plumbing pages and see DRM.s website, he has a story about a boiler that had plastic outlet pipes, and with the wrong circumstances, one of them exploded.
