new consumer unit

can any one advise on the ones to look out for and the ones best left alone,
i am wanting to have my old fused type consumer unit replaced with an up to date mcb type with an rcd fitted i have seen various models fully loaded with 9 mcb which we require for about £70-£80 which is what i am hoping to pay. also what size rcd is better 80a or 60a or 30a, we live in a two up two down terraced.

Your electrician will probably have his favourite make - the more familiarity he has with it the quicker and easier his job will be.
