new Dishwasher not turning on - A simple error?

I've just installed a new Beko dishwasher.

Plumbed it in etc, when I turn the mains on all the lights on the console/door flash briefly and it beeps so power is definitely working but then it goes off. When I press the on/off button to begin, nothing happens.

Hoping I've just made a simple mistake? Any thoughts?

some machines have auto water pressure sense, is the water on or pipe blocked?

This makes no sense. Have you confirmed correct voltage? Is it on a plug-top or hard wired?

I had a bosch washing machine, brand new, plugged in, lit up then nothing. Took them 7 days to take it away and deliver a new one.

Water is on, will take it out again and check pipe but pretty sure it's ok. Thanks

It's just a 13amp plug. The one it came with is plugged into a socket.

Is the waste pipe blanking plug removed? (Apologies if this is a replacement of an existing dw and the drainage is already working)

I've already connected it into the plumbing. - Presumably that would be at the end of the waste pipe where it connects?

Yes. It's worth double checking as if the blanking plug is in the drain connector then a dishwasher will cut out as soon as you turn on as it tries to do a small drain pump before it can do the cycle
