New home boiler woes

Hi to you all

I have just moved into a new house.

Boiler is a Gloworm Flexicom 18hxi.The problem that i am getting is that i need to turn the hot water cylinder stat up to full to get any hot water to go through the raditors.Valve is a drayton mid position valve.

Is this a valve problem or wiring fault.

The cylinder stat has no control over wether the rads work.Cyl stat controls HW and room stat controls the rads.As its a new build call th developers back to check the system as it must be under warranty and would not advise you not to attempt any repairs.It could be either of the faults you mention.

Sounds as though it is a wiring fault somewhere, or programmer set to gravity and not pumped.

What programmer is it?

When I said new, I meant new to me .

The house is about 25 yaers old.

The programmer is a drayton lp522.

It sounds as if the motor valve head is faulty and turning up the HW stat is needed to bring on the boiler.
