What fixings can i use for plaster board walls, for things like towl rack, small shelfs etc

The plasterboard seems quite thin and i put a small bathroom shelf up a couple days ago, only has soap etc on it.
I used normal wall plug and screw but its already wobbly.
Need to put a towl rail up to hold 3 towls next

There are many kinds of plasterboard fixings. Have a look at:

https://www.screwfix.com/p/easyfix-fixings-trade-case-240-piece-set/7883x

I don’t necessarily suggest buying that kit, but the picture does show the various different types of fixing, some for lighter and some for heavier loads.

You also have the option of going through the plasterboard into either the bricks or blocks behind, with a long screw, or if it’s a timber frame, finding the timber studs and screwing into those.
