I've just replaced the ball valve plate on my Honeywell 3-way & the shaft is leaking. Any ideas other than a faulty plate?

Brave of you to just change the plate. Most engineers would change the complete valve to be able to give a warranty and peace of mind. Did the plate come with a new ball and spindle? If you used the old one then it may well be the O-ring that has perished or damaged on removal. Best. Ernesto

Yes, new ball & o-ring but the ball & shaft sits inside the o-ring. So if that was damaged or unseated, the leak would be between the plates. This is actually flowing out of the plate where the motor shaft exits.

For what it's worth it was a faulty plate. Replacement fitted & all good.
