New laminate flooring but use existing fibre underlay.

Hi all, i want to replace my existing laminate floor which is getting tatty from water spills and other damage.

It has been down 16 years and fitted under the skirting boards. Have lifted the boards and the existing underlay seems to be in good condition not damaged or anything else.

Is it ok to lay the new laminate boards on the existing underlay ?
