Previously done a light with 2 wires on the loop now there's 3 as my picture shows need help how to connect this to New light guys I show the existing ceiling light rose and new light I wish to install
But what I really cannot understand is, if you've successfully done this before when there were 2 loop conductors, why on earth can't you do it when there are 3? What difference can it possibly make?
Inspect them to see if the copper is damaged. If that's ok you could sleeve them with brown heat-shrink sleeving.
If you can't get them to reach the ternminals on the new fitting you will have to do a joint within the light fitting, with a new piece of cable linking the light and the joint.
